Chris,

I honestly think if you want to get into RSS you should pick up the webos book by palm. They create an RSS reader as the application walk-through for that book. There are issues with the book but with the help of the errata you should make it though pretty good.

Hi Joseph, thanks for your response. I have since found the palm news app in the examples in the SDK and this should suffice for me learning about RSS for now. Still a ground-up tutorial would always be welcome. Hope you find some more time for WebOS soon!

Chris,

It is going to be a little while before I am able to get to your suggestion. I have added it to my list however I have been really busy with work recently and have had almost no time for WebOS. I still need to get Part 5 of my list series completed.

Hi Joseph,

I'd like to see a tutorial about how to interact with "the cloud" a bit. Maybe something that shows us how to grab an XML feed from the web and then parse it into a page... like a very simple RSS reader.

Thanks for the tutorials - I am enjoying learning about WebOS and your site is a great resource!

Matthew,

Thanks for your feedback. I will see what I can do about getting a tutorial on that topic posted. Things have gotten a bit busy lately but I will work on something.

I'd like to see a tutorial on using Depot to populate a list through callbacks. That is probably one of the more confusing aspects I have found so far.
