Our very first WebOSBoston meeting was a great success, with 9 persons attending. It was a nice, loosely structured informal meeting that was VERY productive. Thank you ALL who attended, we had a great discussion. After this, Eric Marthinsen of Agile Commerce came and spoke about recent development findings and hurdles and general programming practices. We looked at using the emulator, Ruby, scoping of functions and 'this' within a function, playing audio sounds from within a game, custom style sheet elements, log levels and much more. We were glad to have him come!!
BE SURE to join our mailing list to be notified of upcoming meetings , and in the event of last minute room changes you'll be in the know. Thank you for MIT for donating unused meeting space, and all who helped in planning and signs, etc.

30 Wadsworth St, Cambridge MA in the Hermann Building [ map link ]
Wheelchair access: Yes. Ramps outside, elevator inside available.

FROM TAKING THE T:

Take the Red LIne to Kendall Sq/ MIT. [...Use link 'continue reading' below for more.]
Outside, look for the MIT Press Bookstore on the corner (NOT the COOP) and walk down that 292 Main Street block
towards Au Bon Pain. You want to be on the Au Bon Pain side of the Main street.

Walk:
Just one block past Au Bon Pain, turn right after the banks onto Wadsworth St. and then
400 feet ahead it's the large building with the wheelchair ramps on the left corner.

DRIVING directions:
30 Wadsworth St. Try to find street parking, i.e; there is some on Memorial Drive.
If not, Drive down Carleton St, park in the MIT Medical parking lot - no gate.
Walk back down Carleton St to end, turn left (Amhearst St) and Dewey is the building at
the end of the street and across Wadsworth, with the wheelchair ramps.

Walking is easier, if possible take the T.

Up into Dewey building:
Go into the inside double doors going into the library and immediate right up the stairs.
Just go one flight - On that floor2, turn left, then end of hall turn left, room on the right.

Things to bring:
* Paper and pen for your own notetaking if you want.
* Outlet strip or extention cord for your PC - we'll share
* Any problem that you want to ask about on your own project
* Bring Your enthusiasm!
